Boiler Installation in Gravesend, Dartford and Across Kent

Fixed-Price Quotes. Manufacturer-Trained Engineers. Up to 12-Year Warranty.

Specialist Boiler Installation — Done Right the First Time

Your boiler is the heart of your home's heating system. When it is time to replace it — because it has broken down beyond economical repair, because energy bills have become unreasonable, or because you are making a planned upgrade — the quality of the installation matters as much as the quality of the boiler itself.

BoilerSense installs new boilers across Kent and South East London. As a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer and Vaillant Advance Installer, we work exclusively on boilers. Our engineers are manufacturer-trained, not general plumbers who install boilers as a sideline. Every installation is completed to Gas Safe standards, with Building Regulations notification, full commissioning, and warranty registration handled on your behalf.

Prices from £2,700 fully fitted. All quotes are fixed — the price we quote is the price you pay.

What Type of Boiler Do You Need?

Choosing the right boiler type is as important as choosing the right brand. The three main types each suit different home sizes and heating requirements.

Combi Boilers

A combi (combination) boiler heats water directly from the mains on demand — there is no hot water cylinder or cold water tank required. The most popular choice in the UK: compact, efficient, and simple to install.

Best suited to: Smaller to medium homes (up to 4 bedrooms) with one or two bathrooms. Ideal for Victorian terraces and flat conversions in Woolwich and Greenwich where airing cupboard space is limited.

From £2,700 fully fitted

System Boilers

A system boiler heats water indirectly via a hot water cylinder, which stores hot water ready for use. The expansion vessel and pump are built into the unit — simplifying installation and reducing external components.

Best suited to: Homes with two or more bathrooms where simultaneous hot water demand is higher. Properties in Dartford and Sidcup with existing hot water cylinders are ideal candidates.

From £3,200 fully fitted

Regular (Heat-Only) Boilers

A regular boiler works with both a hot water cylinder and a cold water feed tank, typically in the loft. The right choice for homes with established radiator systems optimised for their output, or those with solar thermal panels.

Best suited to: Older properties with existing low-pressure hot water radiator systems where converting to combi or system would require significant pipework changes.

From £2,900 fully fitted

Boiler Brands We Install

As accredited installers for the UK's leading brands, we can offer extended warranty terms that unaccredited installers simply cannot.

Baxi

Well-established UK brand with a strong service network. The Baxi 800 Combi is popular with value-conscious homeowners wanting a reliable A-rated boiler without premium pricing. We install and service the full Baxi range and carry Baxi parts on our vehicles.

Ideal

Manufactured in Hull, Ideal offers good reliability at a competitive price point. The Logic Max range is a straightforward, well-supported combi suitable for most domestic installations. We install the full Ideal range.

New Boiler Installation Cost Guide — Kent

Current price ranges for BoilerSense installations, fully fitted with old boiler removal and all certification.

Installation Type Cost Range (Fully Fitted)
Combi boiler replacement (like-for-like) £2,700 – £3,200
Combi boiler (system conversion) £2,900 – £3,500
System boiler replacement £3,200 – £3,800
Regular boiler replacement £2,900 – £3,500

Prices include: old boiler removal, installation, commissioning, Gas Safe certificate, and Building Regulations notification. A power flush may be recommended for contaminated systems (£300–£450 if required). All quotes are fixed — the price we give is the price you pay.

Could a new boiler save you money?

Replacing a G-rated boiler (60–70% efficient) with a new A-rated condensing boiler (90%+ efficient) can reduce annual heating bills by £200–£350 per year for a typical Gravesend or Dartford semi-detached home. Over 10 years, that is up to £3,500 in savings — before counting reduced repair costs during the warranty period.

The BoilerSense Installation Process

A clear four-step process from first contact to a fully certified, registered installation.

Free Home Survey

We visit at a time that suits you. The survey takes 30–45 minutes. Our engineer inspects your existing boiler, pipework, flue, and heating system, and discusses your hot water demand, property size, and preferences. We recommend two or three boiler options at different price points.

Written Fixed-Price Quote

We provide a written fixed-price quotation, broken down clearly. This price is what you pay — no hidden extras, no surprise costs on the day. We can usually issue your quote within 24 hours of the survey.

Installation Day

Most installations are completed in a single day. Our engineers arrive at the agreed time, use dustsheets to protect your floors and surfaces, remove your old boiler, install the new one, test the full system, and walk you through the controls.

Certified and Registered

On completion, we issue your Gas Safe certificate and submit the Building Regulations notification. We also register your manufacturer warranty in your name — a step some installers leave to the homeowner, risking a lost or shortened warranty.

Finance Options Available

We understand that a new boiler is a significant purchase. To make it more manageable, we offer finance options that allow you to spread the cost:

0% interest finance Spread the cost over 12 months with no interest charges
Low-rate monthly payments Longer-term options available to suit your budget
Same-day approval Finance decisions made quickly so you can proceed without delay

Frequently Asked Questions — Boiler Installation

Most like-for-like combi boiler replacements are completed in a single day — typically six to eight hours. More complex installations, such as a system conversion from a conventional boiler, may take two days. We will give you an accurate estimate during the survey.
Yes. Old boiler removal is included as standard in all BoilerSense installation quotes. We handle disconnection, removal, and responsible disposal.
This depends on the age and condition of your current boiler. Boilers under 10 years old with a single fault are almost always worth repairing. Boilers over 15 years old, repeatedly breaking down, or running very inefficiently are usually more cost-effective to replace. We can assess this honestly during a repair visit and give you our frank recommendation.
Boiler output is measured in kilowatts (kW). As a rough guide: 1–2 bedrooms typically need a 24–25kW combi; 3–4 bedrooms a 28–30kW combi; larger homes or those with higher hot water demand may need 35kW+. Our engineer will calculate the exact requirement during the free survey based on your property's heat demand, radiator count, and insulation levels.
Standard manufacturer warranties range from 5 to 7 years depending on the brand. As a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer and Vaillant Advance Installer, we are able to offer extended warranties of up to 12 years on qualifying Worcester Bosch models and up to 10 years on qualifying Vaillant models. We register all warranties on your behalf on the day of installation.
Yes. We offer 0% finance over 12 months and longer-term finance options. Speak to us when requesting your quote for current terms and eligibility. Subject to status.
No. Domestic boiler replacements and new installations are covered by Building Regulations (Part J and Part L), not planning permission. We handle the Building Regulations notification as part of the installation — it is included in your quote.
